Meet Bita
Teacher, interviewer, psychotherapist
Bita came to Canada from Iran at the age of six and grew up in Toronto. She taught with the Toronto District School Board, where she focused on her students' emotional well-being. As a journalist, she interviewed leading voices on meaning and self-compassion, including Dr. Jordan Peterson, Dr. Paul Wong and Dr. Kristin Neff. She has worked in the field of human development for 20 years, and her travels to more than 45 countries have given her a deep awareness of different cultures and the ways people think and behave.
Today she brings all three chapters into her work: a teacher's patience, an interviewer's curiosity, and a psychotherapist's training.
